A Driving Assessment may be recommended by a Health Care Professional for anyone with:
A driving assessment can be required for patients with a wide range of medical conditions such as Neurological Disorders, Congenital Disorders etc
The on-road assessment will follow the guidelines of the Road Safety Authority’s (RSA) 2020 Traffic Medicine Competency Framework.
The safety of the driver as well as other road users is priority in assessing the abilities and competencies of the driver.
Drivers may need a Medical Certificate to:
On the Road assessment is assessment of a realistic driving situation
Upon completion of the Assessment a report is formulated and recommendations discussed.
A trained and fully qualified Instructor will perform the assessment in the Clients car, in the local area where the person is most likely to drive.
